This stuff is amazing. I'm absolutely horrible at applying self-tanners, but this stuff is crazy awesome. Super realistic color. Not too dark, and not orange at all. I ACTUALLY looked tan, and no streaks or spots where it soaked in too much, like my ankles, my hands or my knees. I mean your fingers? Seriously...I have never had a product that doesn't look all crappy on my hands. Even in the creases of your knuckles! I needed to use a good amount so I'll probably get another 3 full-body tans. I'm okay with that though. I have super white skin, so maybe I need more than others. I feel the need to buy more so I have a nice stock of it. Now that I think of it, I AM going to buy more.
This was actually the first cast recording I'd heard of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. This is the recording that made me fall in love with the show. I used to think that PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was the greatest show that Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote. But, having listened to SUPERSTAR, I've come to think differently. I now think JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is the greatest show he's ever written. Religious ideas put aside, the score is powerful, witty, sometimes funny, and very dramatic musically! The performances in the cast recording are phenomenal! In particular, I love the vocals/performances of Steve Balsamo (Jesus) and Zubin Varla (Judas). Awesome rock voices! Seriously, why wasn't this cast in the 2000 film version? I know Glenn Carter is in this recording as Simon, who played Jesus in the 2000 film. But, I really think Balsamo and Varla should've played Jesus and Judas in the 2000 film.
I literally couldn't put this book down. And that rarely happens. Yes, the story begins slowly as Lansing has to give us some background on the crew and some context for the expedition, which goes as planned for the first few months. But both the story and Lansing's telling of it become increasingly compelling as the events become more and more unbearable.
I really enjoyed this story! Hayley and Luke are good characters and they both drew me in from the beginning. The rest of the characters were well written as well. The plot was engaging and once I started reading, I had to find out what was going to happen next. Hayley and Luke have had a thing for each other since they were young. Neither knew the other one felt that way until Hayley graduated high school, ready to leave town, and Luke was back from college on a trip to visit family. They get together that night but neither expresses their full feelings for each other. Fast forward years later and they are both back in town after tragedy has hit the town. Hayley wasn't aware when she came back what had happened in the town and to the Barton family but she is quickly drawn back to Luke and is determined to figure out the truth. They both start digging and things go from there.
